Akin Owolabi is currently on sabbatical, pursuing competency in Data Science with a focus on reentering the industry in a role that leverages Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence. When not engaged in coursework, Akin provides consulting services through Z21 Consulting, a firm he founded. Z21 Consulting is dedicated to assisting early-stage startups and established organizations in successfully executing key initiatives.

With over fifteen years of experience in software and product development, Akin most recently co-founded and led a startup business unit within Doma as the CTO. Throughout his career, Akin has served as a hands-on leader of teams, both from technical and people perspectives. He thrives on solving challenging problems and achieving business objectives while fostering collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented team environments.

Akin resides in Lake View East, where he enjoys staying active through various activities including weightlifting, cross-fit, running, yoga, rollerblading, swimming, and cycling.
