With nine out of ten program attendees’ expectations fulfilled, our supporters agree that C2ST is accomplishing its mission of increasing the public’s understanding of science and technology.

1946 was an important year across the globe–the United Nations held its first meeting, Tupperware was introduced to consumers, and Argonne National Laboratory was founded with the mission of harnessing nuclear reactions for peaceful energy purposes. In the 75 years since, Argonne has been at the forefront of cutting-edge innovation and impact, and has grown into one of the country’s largest science laboratories. C2ST and Argonne National Laboratory are excited to kick off a 75th anniversary celebration partnership that will highlight Argonne’s numerous accomplishments and give an in-depth look into some of the five user facilities, which feature an extraordinary range of cutting-edge scientific tools that support in-depth research, drive technological breakthroughs, improve U.S. competitiveness and quality of life and are used by researchers from around the world! These senior experts will also offer strategies from an individual to a population health level to mitigate the impacts.
