Join us for a fun-filled evening at the Kaplan Institute at Illinois Tech for C2STs Annual Fall Social! This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow science enthusiasts, make new friends, and enjoy a night of engaging conversations. Whether you’re a scientist, a student, or simply curious about the wonders of the science industry, this event is for you!

Immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere where you can share ideas, discuss groundbreaking STEMM entrepreneurship, and expand your knowledge (with drinks and dinner!).

Don’t miss out on our keynote presentation from CEO of the Chicago Quantum Exchange – Kate Waimey Timmerman:

The Quantum Lakefront: The City of Really, Really, Really Small Shoulders.During this insightful keynote, Timmerman will speak on how Quantum technological advances offer both Chicago and the whole Midwest region an opportunity to return to our Midwest roots as the beacon of engineering and manufacturing prowess.

Quantum technologies are offering Chicago and the Midwest region an opportunity to return to these roots — only this time, instead of the skyline, the world will see a region transformed by the rise of quantum computers that solve previously unsolvable problems, sensors that detect the tiniest environmental changes, and networks that offer provably secure communications. This talk will explore the revolutionary potential of quantum information science and engineering for our region’s sectors and unparalleled investments from government, industry, and venture capital. It will also describe how our heritage as a manufacturing and research leader is working in tandem with quantum technology development to drive innovation and economic growth for the nation and our region.

This year’s Fall Social also marks C2ST’s third collaboration with WorldChicago for our annual autumnal event. “Hidden No More: Empowering Women Leaders in STEM,” a program that’s been running for ten years through the U.S. Department of State will be coming to an end this year! Participants of this program represent 23 women leaders in STEM fields and hail from 23 countries. Each was invited to the United States under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and they will be in attendance at this year’s Fall Social. We want to make this year’s event – a celebration of the work we’ve been able to build together with WorldChicago, and an evening to honor the enduring legacy of the “Hidden No More: Empowering Women Leaders in STEM” program. Join us to hear the International Leadership Visitors from all over the world!

Mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable evening at the C2ST Fall Social!
