Nicole Bucio
Nicole Bucio joined the Chicago Council on Science and Technology in the fall of 2023 as the organization’s Program and Grants Manager. She received her B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in Museum Studies from DePaul University. Before working at C2ST, she was a laboratory assistant at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece. Here, she assisted in the preparation and 3D modeling of artifacts from an Early Mycenaean cemetery, handling objects up to 3,500 years old. Prior to this, Nicole worked at the Field Museum of Natural History, assisting in the IMLS Bead Stabilization project. This gave her the opportunity to work hands on with the North American Anthropology Collection. While working on her undergraduate degree, engaged the public as a program facilitator for the Adler Planetarium, with a focus on expanding educational access to Spanish speaking communities.
Outside of C2ST Nicole enjoys making art, learning to bake bread from scratch, and entertaining her spoiled cat.
