
Sarah Shirk,MPH, Director, Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Outreach, University of Illinois in Chicago – Sarah Shirk has been working on gender equity issues at the Center forResearch on Women and Gender since 1998. Her research interests include non-traditional career selections, career mentoring best practices, and health and wellness programs for adolescent girls. She coordinates both the Girls’ Electronic Mentoring in Science, Engineering, and Technology (GEM-SET) program and the Women in Nanotechnology (WIN) at UIC.
